The facility consists of six separate reactors and has the capacity to handle approx. 42,000 tonnes of plastic per year. Production will be approx. 30,000 tonnes of pyrolysis product per year.
About the facility in Fårevejle
The first commercial-scale WPU facility. Construction began in 2022 and a year later the first oil was pro duced. Full production is expected in 2024.
Fårevejle was chosen as we have had great cooperation with the municipality of Odsherred from the beginning, and we are proud to have our headquarters there.

Location
Our facility will be located at the port in Nakskov. The location provides good infrastructure and possibilities to ship out our product.
At WPU we have a focus on partnering with communities that have a focus on green technology, and the municipality of Lolland delivers exactly that.
The location will also create synergy as it places our facility in a cluster of other companies that may benefit from our excess heating.
